Last week I went to Hongkong with my family for new year holiday..i was just take a week off from my theses hectic month. Hahah..anywho, Siapa sih yang ga suka Disneyland? Everybody loves it coz it's the happiest place on earth! But you have to admit it, for limited budget, limited time and limited money, just buy the one day pass then. Hanya saja, ingatlah bahwa you can't ride all of the attractions and watch all the show for a day. yep, Disneyland Hongkong may be not as big as Disneyland Tokyo or other Disneyland, but still it's big! So tugas saya kali ini adalah how to maximize your one day in Disneyland Hongkong! Here are the tips.
1. Buy ticket via online or via agent. Karena saya kebetulan Indonesian dan banyak banget travel agen di Indonesia, saya beli di agen dengan harga reasonable. Lalu nanti kita akan dapat print booking yang ada barcode nya. Don't fold the barcode! It could save you from an hour queue in Disneyland main gate!

2. After you got the printed confirmation ticket, if you are an android user, download Hongkong Disneyland Guide at playstore. I don't know wether apple use could download as well cause I'm not one. Hahaha.. after you download, see the black out dates and make sure you pick the best day for going to Disneyland. Check the weather also, believe me that you didn't want to put all your coat boots scarf stuff while u are in Disneyland.
3. Go to disneyland in the morning! Saat itu saya pilih tanggal 31 December karena saya pikir orang lain pasti akan pergi ke tempat lain seperti victoria harbour, avenue of the star dan tempat fireworks countdown lainnya. And I was right! Pagi jam 8 saya sudah naik MTR ke arah Tung Chung and stop at Sunny Bay Station. Remember! Basically,many people go to Disneyland everyday, so be wise and be quick.
4. Redeem your ticket to the automatic machine! Go to the right side. you will see the automatic machine like ATM then scan your printed confirmation booking. Voila, the ticket will issued automatically..
5. Let's enjoy the attractions and show! Yippiy!
IMHO, Disneyland indeed suitable for children. If u guys are looking for thrill scary dark rides, you come to the wrong place. Disneyland Hongkong belum punya wahana yang menegangkan seperti Universal Studio Singapore atau Disneyland Tokyo dan lain sebagainya. But their shows are marvelous! It will make you feel like 6 years old and being crazy for disney characters and songs! This will brings back old memories, saya sih berasa kayak anak kecil 6 tahun yang merengek minta nonton film kartun disney dan beli barang-barang disney yang lucu banget! FYI, harganya cukup mahal menurut saya, tapi masi affordable berhubung kualitas nya bagus dan lucu!
So far menurut saya kalau pergi dengan teman-teman atau anak kecil harus nya akan happy banget dan berasa hari itu so magical! Cuma saran saya, daripada ngantri untuk sekedar foto bersama tokoh disney. Mending nonton show dan enjoy rides. Lebih worthed dan show nya bagus-bagus banget! Saya aja menyesal karena gak bisa dapat semua show karena salah timing! Hmmm.. but here are the recommended lists.
MUST SEE shows!
1. Mickey the wondrous book (28minutes each)
Please arrive at least 45 minutes prior to show time cause show do fill up!
I suggest you to take the 11.15am or 5.45pm show time.

2. The festival of lion king (30 minutes each)
Shows do fill up too but you can arrive 5 minutes before show time cause this place is huge and fits more than 1000 ppl for one show.
I suggest you to take the 12.00pm or 2pm show time.
3. Flights of Fantasy Parade
Please look at the parade route and be in the centre of sleeping beauty castle 20minutes before the parade or u wouldn't see the parade clearly..
The parade will start at 3.30pm and it will go only once a day! So be prepared and run for it cause you will see all disney princess and all disney characters! it's a speechless parade, pokoknya is a must lah..hahaha..

4. Disney Paint the Night Parade
This parade will take the same route as the previous parade. You will see some of disney characters and they are all glow in the dark with spectacular lights!
Parade will start at 7.30pm. Don't miss it!
5. Disney in the stars fireworks
Please take the time guides because this fireworks have different time schedule everyday. But it will start round 8 or 9pm.. just sit in front of sleeping beauty castle. Cause this fireworks starts with songs and magical lights and fireworks! Definitely will end your day with satisfied!
Recommended attractions
1. Hyperspace Mountain
This is a high speed roller coaster. Very popular and it's a good ride for people who likes dark, speed and thrilling rides.
Tips= you can go to the left side main entrance ride and take the fast pass by putting your ticket in the machine and they will give u a printed waiting time then you are allow to come back later as requested time. This will save you from long hours queue.
I suggest you to take this ride at noon before lunch. After take this ride, you could see jedi the temple show which i didn't see.. *sigh
2. Big grizzly mountain runaway mine cars.
It's a medium speed roller coaster. This is good for a warm up roller coaster ride before u take the hyperspace mountain.
3. Jungle River Cruise
An unique boat rides with a story teller. It's not scary or thrilling but it's still good.
4. Mickey Philarmagic
It's a 3D adventure. Very suitable for any ages. You can just sit and enjoy the big wide 3D screen with pop up scenes. All the songs arrangement are very fantastic and fresh. Must ride attraction!
So, come at 10 am and go back at 9pm. Take a quick lunch like hotdog and corn. Rencanakan dulu mau pilih show jam berapa supaya bisa dapat yang recommended dan pilih letaknya dengan bijak, Don't waste your time by pick wrong areas, see the map and don't jump the areas. Kalau lagi di satu area misalnya "tomorrow land", jangan langsung pindah ke "main street" area, lalu balik lagi ke "tomorrow land" dan sebagainya. Ini makan waktu di jalan karena dari satu area ke area lain itu jauh!
Use your droid maps wisely and you can see how long it takes for queue rides. Don't shop until night, after you see night parade at 7.30pm, you could start shopping at the main street area while waiting for fireworks. Believe me, all shop have same stuff, unless you want to buy lightsaber..hahaha!
